18 colored monster cards

Check out the eighteen colored monster cards for my new card game

These cards are being drawn to fill my playtesting set of 26, to learn more about how to become a playtester for my game, or to learn more about the game and its step by step development please check out my live journal site dedicated to my monster card game.

My playtesting sets are making grand progress and I hope to have some ready to be sent out within the next month.

Also make sure to check out my art hunts taking place this summer. Especially check out the Deformed Bunnies hidden in the bluffs

RIOT collectible card game development

This weekend I went to Madison, Wisconsin for Forge Midwest's gaming convention. I got to play my card game with gaming experts! I have a whole bunch of fun information and pictures available on my brand new....live journal account.

I met some awesome people and got some crutial help on my new inexpensive collectible card game. Please check out the new blog, which will now be the home to everything that has to do with the development and design of my card game. I will probably be posting links from this blog to my live journal blog when necessary.

Meanwhile, I've got some photo blogs to update here in the next few days about seeing Cloud Cult in Madison and also seeing the final performance of Straight to Your Brain.

Make sure to see my KILL JUNK MAIL

Please also help me spread the word about my miniature artwork hunts, as I hide tiny artworks across the midwest and west coast of the US.

Brick W@ll Creature

For the last month I have been buckling down and throwing every possible idea into my new card game. I am trying to balance out powerful special features with other special features and keep the game as balanced as possible. I am currently up to 58 cards (although many need edits and some will not be included)

The biggest difficulties for me right now is time. Finding the time and tools to print off prototype cards, finding the time to copyright my game, to research other ideas, and playtest the game.

The cards are going to be featured as art cards. The game aspect is second to the artwork and collectability of the cards. I am going to make the cards harder to get, and more one of a kind than any typical card game. This is why part of my work is to find artists that are interested in putting artwork into the game and become part of the team.

The goal is to go out of your way to build a deck of cards, which in my game is only 10 cards. Acquiring the cards might come in many different forms. I am planning to find the best ways to print these cards to assure quality and playability.

I've finally finished the third draft of the rules, which continually will be updated as new rules and powers are added into the game. I cannot wait to go to Madison, Wisconsin and play my game with a new crowd at Forge Midwest.

The Evolution of the Monster Cards

These four cards are the latest designs of my card game. I have been developing my very own card game in the last few weeks. Playtesting has been good so far, and I want to print a few hundred cards to send out to people interested in playtesting.

I am very interested in creating some very unique and exciting cards. The current cards are featuring brand new background designs, which I am only testing out. I also plan to clean up all of the boxes and colors. I want to keep a hand drawn look and feel, while still feeling polished and energetic. It is this balance that is proving difficult.

I plan to bring a working version of my card to play at Forge Midwest this April.

If you want to learn more about my card game read 45 cards, or my early posts to see how my cards looked before the fancy backgrounds were added, see the pictures at Puffoid and FlameSmythe and also Inventing my own card game
