Six Armed Cat and a Sigil

Moving to a new state, across the country, finding a job, losing a beloved cat (i will miss you Lily)and now trying to recover financially from the cost of losing a loved cat after a blood transfusion and emergency vet visits; has made it hard to justify spending time painting. Although, I cannot ignore what I love to do.

Here are a few of the paintings I have been slowly working on when I can find the time. They are very much works in progress. I started the six arms painting back in Jamestown three months ago and you can see how much it has changed:

The resemblence to Frasier our newest kitty is very much on purpose. There are some smaller details and shading to add to this work before it nears completion.

The other work I have been making comes from an over-layed image in my head. It involves fields of different patterns and a semi symmetrical three dimensional object in the center. I've been calling it a sigil, just to call it something. I will have to post a new picture of the updates soon as it has changed a lot since this photo. In my original idea, this painting also had a lot of very tiny details within it. As I work on tweaking the overall composition I have to decide if I was to go back in and add some of the really small images I had originally planned.

I absolutely LOVE the painting!!!

(I am so very sorry to read about your Lily. Just prior to Twink coming into my life, I lost my dear Rory.)

I am sorry about Lily. She was such a sweet cat.

The six-arm painting is awesome. I am interested to see how the sigil progresses.

thanks jay, took and adam. Lily has been a huge loss, moreso than i expected (which i expected). if that makes sense.

painting has been on and off again when i find the time between working. although i have realy enjoyed the times that I have been able to get some work done on them.

I am itching to do some larger works, but dont really have the space/materials. I may start picking up garbage panels, like doors, signs, cardboard and just paint on them. I just need to do some larger work, regardless of what it is or what it is on.

Thanks for the comments
