The Final Canvas Kill Live painting show

My 11 week experiment, Canvas Kill Live, comes to an end this Saturday. The live online painting show WITH A TWIST this saturday will mark the end of my painting shows. Due to the popularity of the shows, I hope to do another series of shows starting in January 2010.

If you are not familiar with my canvas kill project, you should looks at the gallery and watch the art kill videos which you can find on the Canvas Kill Live website. It has been a lot of fun communicating with people, while I create art and especially when I destroy art.

On Saturday, this painting will be destroyed, unless someone saves it. The painting theme for this show will be chosen by those that come and watch me on the webcam (free to watch).

The reason I am not continuing the show, is because I am moving back to Minneapolis and creating an art hunt, doing at art battle at the Red Hot Festival, and taking classes at the Center for Book Arts. The other reason, is that I may have very limited internet access at the new location.

Make sure to watch my final live art show Canvas Kill Live, and just to give you a visual taste of the flavor of the show, here are my favorite four photos from the previous shows:

Twice the Octopus

Did you miss the show this weekend?

I killed my alien painting with an ax. I'll be posting that video later this week. I also painted this double octopus.

If you like it, you can save it, or else I will be destroying the double octopus this weekend, on my live painting show Canvas Kill Live.

I hope you can make the show.

We Don't Want to Die

"We Don't Want to Die" (pictured above) was created live on webcam in front of an audience of art fans. The painting will be destroyed live on webcam on March 21st, 2009 unless someone buy/saves it. It is on sale at my etsy shop. This is the 4th week of my live painting show with a twist called, Canvas Kill Live.

It is completely free to watch my live web cam painting shows. During the shows you can watch me paint, possibly watch me destroy my own art, and listen to me answer questions or talk about my painting process. The shows are Saturday 3pm central time, and can be viewed from my Canvas Kill Live website.

If you would like to see some of my recent creations, you should watch my time lapse video of the first three shows.

I am also looking for other artists, interested in creating live art on webcam with me during my shows, to sign up for accounts at Stickam.com and get on webcam and create art with me. That would be great.

I will destroy my turtle painting

The yellow turtle painting (pictured below) will be destroyed live on webcam on March 14th, 2009 unless someone saves it.

If you missed me this Saturday I painted, "A Ride for a Ride" live on webcam for my third canvas kill live art shows. I am getting ready to announce to three more dates for my live painting/killing sessions.

Make sure to bookmark my canvas kill live website and mark March 14th off on your calendar. If no one buys the turtles, I will destroy the painting on webcam...whether or not I destroy the turtles I will also be creating a brand new painting as well. Spread the link around to those of your friends who enjoy art.

canvas kill live VIDEO

Will this painting be destroyed live on webcam today?!?!!?

Here is the video promotion leading into week #2 of Canvas Kill Live. The video featured the creation of the first painting in Canvas Kill Live, and today is the day it meets its doom (unless someone buys it for $100 bucks)

For those who do not know, this is a three week trial experiment of live painting, and live killing of canvases. The idea is to destroy art that is not good enough to sell, and also a way to spend time creating a new work each weekend.

If you'd like to see a close up of 'Cupid with Bow Jackson' or watch the live painting/destroying check out the canvas kill live page.

On that site you will have a chance to buy this Cupid painting for $100. If no one purchases it by next saturday I will destroy it live on webcam. I will also be uploading a short video of the event later this week.
