Horseman the Action Figure: Sketchbook Friday

WARNING: I love action figures! I used to play with them constantly as a kid, then I began feverishly collecting them in my teens. I eventually sold most of all my He-Man, TMNT, G.I. Joe and Star Wars action figures, but I do have a few crates in my parents garage waiting to be opened like a treasure chest. Even though the only collecting I do nowadays is with my eyes when browsing new toys at the store, I still find them fascinating. I often think of characters as toys, and stuck in cellophane jail cells. Their weapons floating next to them and bright cardboard packaging behind. This sketch was a quick study to layout my newest toy invention: Horseman!

Each Friday at noon I scan in one new sketch or drawing from one of my many sketchbooks. Many times my sketches are ideas for larger projects that you might find on my fine art website William Hessian dot com, or as projects right here on my Bearded Bunny art blog. If you enjoy these sketches make sure to also see my Favorite 20 sketches from 2011 or go back and check out all of the sketchbook friday posts.

If you want to own some of my work, you can always find great deals on my artwork and stickers at my Etsy shop.  Do not forget to subscribe to my blog and never miss another post.
