I've been trying to think of how I would answer this but I'm having a hard time. Growing up I didn't like reading. I was a slow reader, still am, and it bothered me enough to the point that I didn't like reading.

The one book I really enjoyed during grade school was Where The Red Fern Grows.
Number two would probably be Kon Tiki.
Number three would be... Wicked maybe.

They didn't define me during childhood though, since I didn't read much until after I graduated high school.

thanks for the comments. kris, i was the same way. I am still a slow reader, and it stopped me from doing much reading when i was young.

Ender's Game was one of the first books that i actually enjoyed reading. I tried reading foundation 5 times, before actually finishing it later on in life.

I have no idea what Kon Tiki is. What is it?

Kon Tiki is a book about a guy who wanted to prove his theory that people could have traveled in hand made rafts from South America to the Polynesian Isles and settled there. So that's what they try to do.

It's like a journal of their attempt. When I read it, it was so interesting and amazing to me. It's been a long time since I've read it though.
